Hi brand new member, i am looking for advice, iam looking to buy adiscovery or a freelander . I wont be doing off roading except 2or3 times a year to hook on or off my boat, i am only buying to tow my boat ,and maybe occasionally in bad weather, i already have a car and a van. I am looking tobuy something that i can keep , i will probably do 4 or 5 thousand miles a year, i dont mind paying for regular servicing to keep vehicle up to scratch.my towing weight will be about 2 tons budget around £15000 . Any advice
Well, with that budget you should be able to get something quite handsome. Depending on the weight of your boat, you might find the Freelander struggles a bit towing. The Discovery would be more capable. Plus with the Freelander, you'll be subject to all kinds of ribaldry about being gay, doors falling off and the like on here.
