Morning Folks,
I live near Queenstown in the mountains of the South Island of NZ.
For the past 17 years I've had a LWB S3. It has been a great car, and very reliable. Over the years I've tidied her up somewhat and she looks pretty good now.
Over the past 6 months I've been busy rebuilding a 69 2A SWB. I stripped it to the chassis, de rusted, nickelled all the nuts and bolts, re- galved the cappings and sanded off all the bronze green before painting it limestone. All the greasy bits were stripped and rebuilt with new parts as required. This site was a big help during that process. Thank you all.
Both cars are powered by old Holden 3.3l straight 6s. A popular choice here for repowers in the 70s and 80s. The engines give loads of power and last for ever but sadly use gas like it's 10p a litre.
Here are some pics of them both.
