So I bought my first Landy last month the freelander td4. On a 51 plate. For its age has the usual wear and tare but nothing major, was loving it till it let me down this evening, struggling to get any gear then boom clutch peddle stuck to the floor, popped my foot under it and it's back up but can't get any gears there is some feel to the peddle but feels like I need a few more inches of peddle to get gear. Started the engine in gear and was like I hadn't got my foot on the clutch managed to get me home and getting gears without clutch (had a two year old in the car wanting bed) absolutely devastated was just starting to fall in love with it as well

Master cylinder or slave cylinder I'd say. Slave cylinder could be leaking or the push rod isn't going in straight into the master.

Yea Masta cylinder is leaking looks like the seals have gone, leaking from the base of the cylinder can see fluid all down the pipe and down into the pipe work on the inside of the footwell above the pedals. Thankfully still have a few days warranty on it so guy I bought it off has picked it up this afternoon, so no car atm but looking to get it back soon I hope

Lucky it was still in warranty. I hope they get it sorted properly for you but moving forward, I think you may need to make friends with a good mechanic but you'll get good advice from the people on this forum.
