hi all
just joined your forum after buying my first land rover, a discovery 1996 300tdi.
what an experience it has been, on getting the disco home i began ripping it to bits, i knew it needed new outer sills on both sides, but what i didnt know was the rest,
both the inner and outer sills on both sides were needed as were the following,
2 rear wheel arches
new boot floor
new front inner wing drivers side
a rebuilt rear inner wing plus numerous other plates welded in place.
a new rear section on the exhaust
4 track rod ends
4 ball joints
1 donut
numerous bushes.
A lot of work but well worth it as the disco only cost £600.
i really enjoyed working on the disco and have just driven it down to north wales for a holiday and the drive was superb.
im hooked on my disco and cant wait to start playing and adding bits to my new toy!!
