Hi,
I bought my Disco 3 a few weeks ago and now i have checked over it etc, I would like to try a bit of green laning/off roading. (nothing too challenging)

The car itself is just standard with no mods as i want to try it out first before i spend money on it. (baby on the way so have to be 'more' sensible)

Rich.

First thing is protection for it, then when you use it for what you want you will figure out what you need. I have a fair amount of experience with D3 and D4 off road with factory fit bits and they were very competent, fooking quick as well.

Protection? In what way?

Never had a tow bar on the ones I drove, if the rest or the bits are on yours then yes. Seen the D3 come home from a shoot with bent running boards.

Had one and they are great. That's the correct tow bar for your d3. I never took mine off road but it will be very capable.

As said before get some decent protection for it before you damage it.
