Hi all,
I introduced myself a while back, but as I have finally got a Defender I thought you may want to see it!
It would seem that talking about Defenders to my amazing wife constantly for the last two months has paid off! To shut me up she went out and bought me one for Christmas
Car details:
94000 mile, 300Tdi, P reg hard top that has at some point been converted to a county. The engine seems in great shape to my untrained eye, but I'm getting a mechanic friend to check it over properly today.

I'm sure I'm gonna post masses of questions on here as I am a genuine novice when it comes to car mechanics, but I am willing to give anything a bash so I'm looking forward to the learning

Bad points:
- Diff Lock won't engage - Hopefully nothing WD40 can't sort out
- A fair few bit's of bodywork need tidying up
- Handles / locks need sorting
- Hand Brake is pretty sloppy - wouldn't hold the car alone on our sloping drive
Mod list:
- EGR Blanking
- Side Steps (bar type, not flip up type)
- A bar
- Sill and back corner checker plate
- Sound proofing generally
