I know how it works,but data said his motors running cooler now after he changed his antifreeze,but you also said the antifreeze can't do anything to the spring ,so how come his is running cooler now?

New antifreeze better flow and heat transfer, is it really worth bothering about? Mine runs a fraz below middle since i did some work on the cooling system and fitted a new stat and OAT antifreeze. I'm not worried about it.

The difference is a few degrees. Stat opens a little below optimum running temperature so does not enter into the equation.
