not unless tensioner was jamming idler ,belt would have gone but you wouldnt see heat damage on idler

Ive contacted the part company & they are refunding & sending courier to collect - to be sent back to manufacturer apparently

how did you notice this ,did you have it reassembled. or was it while you give it quick test to make sure everything was linned up
