hey guys i have been on here the last couple days and got some advice just want to make sure i am still on track. ok so the landy would start and tick over but could not accelerate and had engine management light on. i was told that i should replace the throttle position sensor which i have coming on Wednesday. however i had oil in my ecu connector so i cleaned both ends of the connector. i also opened it up and there was no oil inside. when i put it back together it started an let me drive 2 miles or so and died again. now it will let me start and dies after a shortwhile. does this still sound like the throttle position sensor or something else.

thanks

change the injector loom to the ecu, thats what the oil is tracking down, rules out a lot of potential faults

the injector loom was replaced six months ago. i am assuming that the oil i found is just what was left on the wires

But when it was replaced was it sealed at all. Otherwise it could be deja vue all over again.

the best check/double ckeck is to read the fault codes...then you'll know for sure

that runs a bit then dies symptom seems like pump failure ...but the MIL has a code stored "behind" it
