Right so I've owned my discovery for 2 years now we've had our ups and downs but its motor has been rebuilt and I kno the rest of it fairly well. Looks like this

But I've just bought a defender on a whim, it's got a 2.5td and the chassis is about fubar. Do I sell my discovery to improve the fender?? Looks like this atm

Are defenders that much better than discoverys??

Yes, sell the disco and spend the moey on the defender. Ill give you 500 for the disco

Depends. Not going to lie to you. It's not cheap owning a defender. If the body is ok and it was a really cheap buy then worth it.

If you did a slow rebuild whilst keeping disco for now (unless you have other transport) and do it right sure you'll really love it.

keep both repair the defender and then try them both and pick which suits you best. in my eyes both are equally capable although you do have to mod the disco abit to match the 90's ride height but by the looks of things you've already done that

take the engine out the disco and put it in the defender
