Under the wheel chock in a 300TDi engine bay is a small long round electrical component, one multiplug and 3 single conections, what is it? One connection runs the a pipe connected the the brake master, but the other 3 are disconnected from anything

Nope, its a 300TDi commerical, only options is twin airbags and leccy mirrors lol

I think that's just a vacuum distribution unit, one goes to the EGR valve, another to the air box etc.

Hmm could be, one of the disconnected pipes does reach to the airbox and the other could reach the EGR if rerouted... What does it do?

It could be a Heisenberger compensator.........

It is called the vacuum solenoid.

What does it do? Its disconnected at 2 ends :S

I think it's to do with opening and closing the EGR valve, which has probably long since been removed...mine is the same

No, Ive still got a EGR valve, weather it works or not is a different matter

Yeah i dont think its part of the EGR i removed mine over a year ago and cant remember unplugging these. Funny i was wondering what this thing was when i was fixing my washers and followed one of those cables might do mire investigation and ill let you know what i find!

It is part of the EGR valve, when you remove the EGR the kit comes with a plug to block off the relevant port on the vacuum solenoid.
