I have fiddled with my dash wiring and am left with a stray wire with no apparent place to connect it. In the first photo it's the purple wire coming from the indicator switch. I think it is the wire that operates the head light flashing as that is what doesn't work now ...
To explain how I have got to this predicament: my plastic S3 dash panel had numerous cracks and was wobbling in the breeze. I don't like the look of it anyway. So when my ignition switch gave up (one of the terminals fell off because of corrosion) I got a Series 2 dash panel, a new ignition switch and moved the rest of the bits and pieces over. I think it looks better now. But in spite of making a note (I thought) of all the wires I disconnected, the purple wire has been left an orphan.
Any ideas of where it should go? I am also attaching a couple of shots of the wiring behind the dash panel in case that helps.
