Whilst making the exhaustive list of jobs to do on my newly acquired 99 td5, trying to work out why the old girl is cross eyed, I came across two plugs down by the drivers headlight. Any idea what these are for ?

Yep, the wiring loom is common for all/most models. So expect spare plugs everywhere.

i presume your's is manual then the two pin plug is for gearbox oil cooler sensor and the other is an earth header joint.

No sir, auto. I did find the connectors for a fuel burning heater as well which will be the subject of a " how too" in the near future.
It's good to be back with green oval.
