This ere front wheel drive fail problem. Can it be tested by jacking up 1 rear and 1 front wheel, then turn the rear wheel. If both props turn and the front wheel don't, then the ird is feked. Then put 4 wheels on ground and jack up other side and do the same.

no point until it has been checked and tested by a few peeps.

I'll try again since nobody seemed to grasp my previous post. If we're still talking about the PG1 box the fault is not the VC or the IRD but the spline in the final dive carrier in the gearbox. If you remove the IRD unit and look into the gearbox you will see the smaller of the 2 splines in the final drive hub has stripped.

I'm on my 3rd I think. The new type with the convertor loom work ok.mines only failed once

Yes. and the loom is YMQ503280.I'll have a look at getting one of those, just in case
