Ok - just bought a used starter off fleabay for £20. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake! Perhaps I should have gone new for the sake of £65? Ah well...

I'm guessing that'll be the two-extension jobby according to RAVE. Cheers, good tip - I'll have a bash this weekend (in the snow, ugh).Removing the hardest bolt to get at first, is always a good starting point.

I almost daren't ask... what are cap head bolts?i take it you have realised there cap head bolts that hold the starter-motor in 10mm i think,just so you dont get siked up to do it then find out
