Not to sure why its on Qplate, Think it was stolen recovered many years ago!
there are a few things i need to do and they are doors leaking fuel and temp gauge not working! apart from that its ok, I THINK?

q plate is if it is of indeterminate year of manufacture, eg if it has been rebuilt using a chassis of one vehicle, the body of another, and a different engine. Or if the whole thing has been modified so as to be unrecognisable, such as shortening a 110 chassis and the creating a body and drivetrain to suit. Quite a complicated issue as to why the won't issue an age related number plate, kit car builders suffer quite a lot, it all depends on how much of what part of the original vehicle remains. A kit car usually has a new chassis and body, probably an different engine. Maybe all that remains is an axle depending on the kit. Thus a Q plate is issued.

Q Registration Marks
12. Where there is doubt about the origin, age or identity of a vehicle a Q registration mark is issued. Q registration marks were introduced following wide consultation with the Police, Motor Trade, Salvage Industry, and other interested parties. Although seen by many vehicle enthusiasts as a seal of disapproval, since their inception, in 1983 in GB and 1990 in NI, the Q registration mark has proven to be a useful consumer protection aid. The display of a Q registration mark is a visible sign to a prospective purchaser of a vehicle’s uncertain history.
13. Vehicles which are found to be ‘Cut and Shut’ are automatically Q registered.
14. A Q registration mark may only be removed if it was allocated because proof of the age of the vehicle was not available at the time of registration but has since been provided. Otherwise it remains with the vehicle until it is scrapped or exported.
15. The objective of the inspection for this category of vehicle is to allow a vehicle to be registered when there is insufficient evidence of its origin, age and/or identity, whilst providing consumer protection.
