i took my brand new D3 on Grisdale in the lakesthe day I bought it, I got some strange looks

Nice'ish, not a Defender but hey why not. If I was looking for something other than a Defender but still a LR I would go for a Range Rover, always thought the Disco sat uncomfortably between the two.

On the contrary. a rangey is just an overpriced disco..

Having been in both I can see where the money has been spent on a Range Rover comparatively not seen much to justify the new price of a disco. Love the Defender love the RR.

I give it 12 months before it looks something like this:

:D

12 you're being generous :) 6 at the most i feel :)

i know loads of hairdressers that can afford a D3

Nice motor... if you don't like the colour you could always look at having it vinyl wrapped?

They do look smart with a few off-roady bits on them too ;)

I don't dislike the colour, i just would have preferred the charcoal grey colour, but, it's a perfectly acceptable colour in the silver!

A defender doesn't meet my requirements. I personally don't like R/R's - nor can i afford one! This was enough of a stretch as it is. It was either a van or a disco commercial.

From a quick online quote the insurance is near enough the same as a standard D3 - although adding the misses on adds £1k to the price! (ony adds £50 as a non-commercial?!) She'll have to wait a few more years till she's 25 to drive it i think!

i have the same commercial issue,im half tempted to train the doris with a chainsaw and make her a member of staff as this is cheaper.

Silver doesn't show the scratches as much ..

Apparently that's why Landrover experience have mostly silver vehicles ... so sounds like a perfect colour for laning ... ;)
