I have been under the Landy again....

My front cross member seems to be round section instead of the traditional square section. Is this a standard component or something that has been fabricated? Its a 1987 90 with a 200tdi conversion..

Looks to me like a standard gearbox crossmember on an 87 90

Ah, my first google search only showed square ones but an adjusted search shows both round and square

That is a standard crossmember for that year. My 1990 one went rotton so it now has a squaire one.

Quite right. That is the same crossmember as on my 89 Ninety. Later ones were square.

My 93 200 has the round type.
I thought the later feminine square type came out with the pick shirt wearing 300tdi?

Cheers for all the replies! This all started because I did a search for front cross member and only saw square ones

subsequent search stating gearbox cross member shows both

I really should do better research lol
