Should do, but I'd use extended studs.......tyres will fit, but a better fit on a wider wheel, trouble is the 16" 5 spokes came in 6", 6.5" , & 7" wide but they all look the same......look in the back of the wheel, and it will tell you the size and offset.

Didnt know the 16's came in different widths, i shall take a look tomorrow when the spacers come off, think theyre 6's though, as even the 215's sit wide of the wheel. Might just use it as an excuse to buy modulars and sell my entire wheel setup!
Think i'll take your advice on the hubcentric's, do H&R still make the FL1 kits, thats what you've got isn't it? Presume any 5x114.3 with the correct centre bore size will work, there's nowt specific about the freelander hubs which mean theres a unique part for them?

Well, they're on 225.75/16's Cooper Discoverer AT3 just fit with spacers only!! These have 15mm of tread depth new too, so they're a fair size! They dont even catch on full lock, even with the mud flaps on, there's literally 2mm clearance on full/partial lock, with some shock compression they'd still clear!
My ground clearance is now...F: 220mm R:240mm Sills:310mm Front/370mm Rear
See if i can get myself a 75mm lift kit and get myself 12" of ground clearance!ound:
Car is now over 6ft tall plus the roof rails, estimating i've got around a 35-40mm lift from the tyres alone, as a normal tyre this size with 8-9mm would give me a 29mm lift, add to that the extra 6-7mm my tyres have over normal plus that my fronts were down to 4mm!
The car sits very level now, used to dip towards the front...

I went for the H&R/Bearmach 30mm kit BA3409
My wheels are 6" wide, would prefer some of the wider ones if I could find any!

Do they fit at all without the spacers? I have same age car and want to fit the same tyres in that size also....

Unfortunately you've got no chance of fitting these without spacers, the wheels wouldn't even go back on the car! Even if the wheels would go back on the car, they wouldn't rotate or turn.
Ryan, only getting lifted by 40mm, should be alright, been driving unlifted now with the tyres on for about 2 months and everything is alright, only catch the arch on close to full lock (not the inner arch, the plastic wraparound behind the wheel). The tyres have given me a lift of about 30+ mm, so overall i'll have a 3" lift over standard.

Any idea what would be the minimum spacer requirements? Would a 10 or 20mm suffice do you think? Any chance of a shock/tyre gap pic some time..?

Yeah i'll get a pic later of the gap, its pretty huge!
10mm still won't be enough cos of the height of the tyre, 20mm is a maybe, mine are 30 each side. Spare wheel was fine, its quite close to the boot door trim at the bottom, but its clear! Got one of my ladders on it now. For safety and ease of fitting i'd go for the Bearmach/H&R 30mm kit, they're hubcentric and go straight on. If you go 20, you'll need to manually fit longer wheel studs, which is a pain, as its a hub off job, and that means replacing wheel bearings, so the hubcentric 30mm's would work out cheaper!

Looks like this is getting pricier than I thought. Can't help it though... I want to off road it (and look good of course) and this is the way I wish to go, so so be it...

Didn't have enough light to get a worthwhile pic when I had a chance so will do it tomorrow.
Way I see it is if you buy quality you'll only have to buy once, plus the hubcentric's will just unbolt off again, if you've had to fit extended studs, you'll have to remove them and go back to originals if you want to go back standard again, double PITA!
