Thanks to the help and advice of people on here on my other thread my Disco 2 is now on the road and running well.

I would like to know if there is anyone who might be local to me who maybe wouldnt mind meeting with me and having a look at the disco to give me any reccomendations and just a once over.

Please let me know if you can help

A general once over really, I'm keen to make sure it's in good order and want to deal with things before they become a problem. General maintenance and worthwhile upgrades for steering, handling power and so on would be grately appreciated

A lot depends on what you are going to do with it, normal car or green lanes/ off road. Keep it well maintained is top priority. Do you do work on it yourself or take it to garage.

Well this is my first disco and the main reason I bought it is for usual work car stuff. I work in the events industry and tow and spend time off road on festival sites and the like. I am also highly tempted to try out some green laneing but the main priority is reliability. I have now got a mechanic but I am a pretty capable bloke and like to try things myself

Change all the oils unless you know they have been done lately engine gearbox transfer box and diffs. both oil filters fuel and air filters and get yourself a set of A/T tyres jobs done.

(sorry if I have repeated anything already not seen you other thread.)

As above, plus check and grease up your uj,s if they have nipples and get wheel bearings checked. Plus make sure your battery is up to scratch and good earths.

If I were to add another battery would it be advisable to replace the original battery as well?

As said depends how your running them if like me through a split charge relay then no need to change both, but If your just connecting them in parallel then I would have 2 of the same age and spec or the older one will bring the good one down.
