It conked out at a petrol station and wouldn't start.
Suspected fuel pump.
I called the AA, they came out really quickly.
They AA guy gave my car a good going over, he checked all the electrics with a fine tooth comb, he even took the ECU out and cleaned all the oil off the connector.
I then got towed to the local garage.
Anyway, turns out it was the in tank fuel pump that had gone kapput!
Replaced with a cheapo aftermarket pump for now, as nearly xmas.
The fuel gauge didn't work very well, kept dropping off and was also missing a quarter of a tank of fuel. So took the level sender off the old pump and fitted it to the new pump, it now works really well
happy days.
