So I am finally getting around to sorting out my 90 which was crashed into, I don't have many pic's to show you at the moment but here's a few of what's happened so far (galv chasis fitted, HD shocks and springs, axles painted black, galv chasis sprayed in raptor, engine spray cleaned) ;

Only question is that the HD terrafirma shocks at the front don't have and dust covers on them and it looks like dirt could get in quite easily.. Does anyone have terrafirma's can you confirm if they should have them, or if I can get some or if they aren't needed?

Hopefully only a few more weeks to go :)

Cheers

Oh the tyre on the right in the top picture is one of my new tyres, Cooper STT's, anyone used them on sand before? I don't know if they are going to be too aggressive and just dig down into the sand or not.. Might have to be a separate thread :)

Great stuff, as for the shocks, from what I've seen I don't think that the big Bore shocks have dust covers. The tyres on sand will be fine as long as you air them down a bit :) say 16-20 psi and don't floor it :)

Yeah since found out they don't have them.. Going to make some for them though, it seems stupid leaving them like that :)

Good news about he tyres too! :D

easier to wash the shocks with no covers.... worst thing of all are the corrugated coloured boots that people cable tie top n bottom, great way to eventually store mud n rot em out....

i'd leave em open

cheers steve

Hadn't thought about it like that Steve, might leave them after all..

Cheers :)

Well, she's nearly finished now just the door hinges to replace (bit of a ball ache because the old ones have rusted in)

Here's a snap of her now, got the whole restore documented so will upload that at the weekend..

looking good. :)

You wont regret the tyre choice. Coopers are great and last very well indeed. ;)
