Hi how do I go about replacing the front mud flap brackets on my 2001 Discovery 2 tdi ?

No idea - mine fit over the end of the side step and are held by 2 screws, no brackets involved.

I won't give u step by step as its obvious, just remove the fixings that hold the existing bracket to the underside of the floor, refit replacement using new fixings. Simples.

I also have flaps on the front of my side steps, but I also retain the factory fitted flaps and their brackets
