tried this in the offroad section to no avail and only 44 views so thought id try my luck here

now ten chaps, im in process of building my disco cage and am now lookign at seatbelt mounts.

the belts i already have have the bolt holes fixings for the shoulder straps rather than the ones that you wrap around a pole, looking at msa book for my belts i need to put a tube within my role cage somewhere for the seatbelt to then bolt to that.

however where does the seatbelt tube need situated to be as the belts will come down the wrong side of the diagonals. ie on the outsides so i cant weld a tube between the diagonals to work,

can i weld the tube in betwen the c pillars (mines a 3 door) (being reinforced obv or do i somehow need to encorporate this into my roll cage? cant find any other info / pics online in regards to the bolt pattern they all seem to be for the wrap style seatbelts.

Bars go here, though these are too small in dia. they changed the regs after I fitted them, I now have some 4mm tube.

That was my idea but I'm not sure there's enough distance between cage and harnesses not sure how shirt they go..iv seen the diagnosis though.

What I can't work out from diag is the tube that I bolt the seatbelt to...I have to tube it with 20 mm and 50 mm section...does this need to be threaded or just so bolt will go all way through...drawing no 44

I would weld the tube in on the bench, then drill and tap the tube before welding the assembly into the cage.
Also have a word with a scrutineer, you may be ok with a bolt and nut.
Or get some belts you can wrap around the tube, you can get very short wrap fittings so don't need much space between the seat and the harness bar.
