Can fit a cut off in the box so a thief would need to bring a spare battery, only slow them down I know but if it stops a casual thief then its a good idea in my book

But they are already in a box...... I have a red top optimax and a normal battery as well and there is still room for a cut out switch, 200amp solenoid and the electrics for dual batteries. Fit a more secure locking mechanism to the existing battery box would be my answer.
Ar but, the thief knows the battery is in there and goes there first. If its not there then he has to look for it and then get at it, all taking time

beef up your existing space or fit a solar panel for starting and lob the battery out alltogether..

Can't see the advantage over securing the existing box, you can get a tdi started with an alarm battery and some speaker wire if you bump it.

Instead of trying to stop someone turning her over with the battery, why not fit a flywheel lock? Or a fuel cut of solenoid?

Got a fuel cut off solenoid fitted, it would only run for a few minutes if any one got it started, got a disk lock to slow them down and a battery cut off so if they did use a small battery to feed the pump solenoid there would be no lights etc.
Flywheel lock is interesting though
No just isolates the battery but good point
