I went to a few of the seminars to try and figure out all the new laws, there are so many grey areas its unreal (HiD's for instance) even VOSA are a bit miffed by whats what, its all down the the EU trying to make us the same as the rest of europe (well, actually its about Germany trying to make everyone the same as them).Honestly JG you have just answered a few Q's that us Joe Public haven't had the answers to since it was raised last year or so ago, cheers :clap2:

13 pin gets tested
Actually we can, all MOT centers have a test rig for trailer sockets...
.. but this is correct and so a 7 pin won't get tested, only the euro 13 pin.
Theres not that many landys about with 13 pin sockets, they are generally used on newer caravans (2001 onwards??) most will have the 7 pin arrangement.
Is yours a 7 pin? As said only 13 pins get tested, if they show a fault then yes its a fail but if you just happened to have a 13 to 7 pin adapter plugged in it wont get tested either![]()
13 pin gets tested 7 pin doesn't,
I was present when I had my gaylander mot'd earlier and they didn't test my seven pin electrics.![]()
