MOT time take 2 tomorrow! Took it last week to a class 4 place, didn't realise my 110 is a class 7!

Everything works (even the light on the Hazard switch! ) all the steering gear, shocks, brakes, etc are new, the chassis is really good, no rust, fingers crossed it goes straight through!

How come ??

Im pretty certain mine isnt...it goes to a bog standard garage and mot testing centre

Errrrr....not sure on exact details but a lot of Fenders have a Gross Vehicle Weight of 3050kg which is over the 3000kg limit for class 4 goods vehicles. There used to be a dual use exemption (goods/utility) which has been scraped.

You'll have to check but I think yours is still class 4 as it's got about 40 seats so isn't classed as goods but as passenger..........possibly

Someone that knows what they're talking about will be along shortly

Yeah mines 3050kg so is class 7 unfortunately.

Sat in the MOT place now so find out shortly if it has a shiny new MOT or if I've got to spend MORE on it!

Just got mine done and passed with no advisories which is nice. Took 2 hours though as the VOSA inspector was there to check up on the examiner :-(

Most thorough mot my Defender has ever had.

Yep all passed with no advisories

They commented on how good it all is underneath

And it Class 4 because I've fitted seats in the back, even though it is 3050kg.

Now to tax it.
