Sorry forgot accompanying pictures never like cutting out good material when unnecessary so much of this is good inside and out

Hi mate rear part not so good, three layers too have cut out rot in centre part, first will remove rear tub rot roughly white lines this will allow me to remove inner rotten part of cill again roughly marked, as sandwiched between rear tub and outer panel and replace, then centre part, tub repair worries about scorching paint and finally outer cill
Ordered a air joggler today
Will be making some of the parts at blacksmiths as can use their bender etc few more cuts and spot welds bit more straightening and will be going back together ps is this the brake pipe you changed

I would do what is easiest/quickest, less cut out the better for the car.

How are you joggling the steel sheet? I ask as I bought a joggler (cheap one) and it is bloody rubbish.

Was it a cheap air one, as was looking at one may I ask? Yes less is better enough to cut out rust

No it was a manual plier type thing, tried it once and once realised how crap it was have never used it since.

Will probably buy a crap air one instead

Rear of cill needs attention at end damage let water in and it seemed to collect there, no rust on inner cills either and certainly no screwdriver holes anywhere

Apologises for the delay , alas done too much indoors moving things etc and ripped the hell out my badk so laid up, still never mind it is what it is

Can see ur doing a sterling job and see what u mean about the good and bad bits , find it very interesting how things are put together , plus like like u say shame to cut out good metal if not needed , of course will leave it to u in what u think is best

Indeed that back pipe was the one I done along with the very short metal pipes that go between the caliper and hose ,

Plse don’t worry if any of the paint gets marked as needs must as I know I’m in capable hands and know I would have got myself into trouble due to lack of knowledge when it comes to welding and if things are cut out how it can a cause panels to twist or move

It has opened my eyes that’s for sure in what areas fail and seen more and more sills rusting where it’s all hidden behind those plastic sill covers

Funny anough I had to look up what a joggler was , lol


Indeed bet that’s fun trying to do it manually particularly if the metal is quite thick
