Morning folks, thought I'd say hello and pop the question that's been on my mind for the past few of days.

I'm the proud owner of that lovely Defender 90 over there on the left, lovely truck, but AWFUL uphill on a motorway.

Now my quandry is this..

Do I swap the 2.5TD in there for a 2.8 Daihatsu TD available to me?
Will it be any quicker?
Or faster?
Is it worth the bother?

Whats the considered opinion?

be better with a 200tdi than the "revvy" jap injun, besides would allways be worth more if you where to sell it in the future. Think of all the adaptions/bodges that would be required to fit the jap whereas the 200 just needs a bit of mod on the passenger footwell (basically)

Yep I can see it's a bad Idea now, spoke to the guys over at windmill in samlesbury and they said the same thing too, so I guess I'm gonna stick with it for a while till I find a suitable Disco engine, and do a bit of choppin.
