Had a bit of time this afternoon , so looked into my inoperative air con, thought that one or both the pressure switches were duff, so linked the connectors out and everything sprang into life, except the compressor, checked it was getting power, yep, with engine off gave it a 12v feed from battery, solenoid actuates, gets underneath , centre spins freely,

So iv read about air gaps for the clutch, but only that I can remove a shim, is that all I can do or do I get a known worker and bite the bullet?

Cheers Chris

Just to be belt and braces on this - are you sure there is gas in the system as the compressor will not engage if the system is low on gas.

He faked that by bridging the Pressure switches....

If the clutch pulls in and out with direct power, could it be the Relay??

Well iv come to the conclusion, that everything works, other than the lack of gas , so next job get it gassed up and see
