looking for mods for more mpg need pros/cons as well.done egr de-cat and powerflow air filter what else is there?.

Running a few bottles of Redex through mine seemed to make a noticeable difference over the course of 3500 miles, but then it was done over 2.5 weeks...

Get the engine nice and hot and working hard- it seems to blow all the accumulated crap out of the engine. Some hilly motorway driving for a couple of hours made a noticeable difference to my 90 On a new diesel with a DPF, this sort of thing is recommended to get the exhaust temperature up, burning off the soot trapped in the filter. The principle is the same.

Personally I can't see the point in trying to make a 2 ton landy with the aerodynamics of a shed more economical.

Is redex etc any good on an old Dse diesel ? Are there injector cleaner additives ??

Polycarbonate windows and aluminium roof would transform it.

ok so its thrash the s**t out of it with redex in it,poly windows and aluminium roof .why just not fill the tyres and inside with helium as well?...or even better hydrogen then when i light up a cig i should go from 0 to 60 feet in 1 second.

I've heard helium in tyres can give a 10 hp power increase........


Also them stripes up and over the bonnet and roof can add performance anorl

39mpg is amazing. Interesting link.

Non sticky tyres should help.
Also the specified tyre pressure for the fronts is a little low for good economy
