Hello,

I've been under my 300tdi tonight to try to find were this annoying oil leak is coming from and whilst having a tinker round I came across these 2 pipes that don't seem to be going anywhere just to the left of the fuel filter by the bulkhead.

Can anyone tell me what they are and if they should be attached.

Don't panic. They're breather pipes.

We all start somewhere . as a side note, if the leak is on the drivers side pay attention the the lift pump , brake vac pump ( big flat thing that sticks out from the block with a pipe on it ) as there prone to leaking .

thanks for that, I've given the block a good clean around the vacuum pump so will check it over tomorrow and report my findings!
