right you lot i needs to pick your brains we have a rover 75 cdt,a very quick one annorl various mods i have done means its chucking out 180 bhp,however its starting to have some issues wife said the pattern is rains heavy it plays up start the car misses like a bitch and chucks out grey/black smoke rev the guts out of it and it clears i have tried disconnecting the tuning box,problems the same,its pointing to something getting wet so have any of you experienced this all jokes aside i would really appreciate some help with this issue it has the same BMW M47 lump as all TD4 landys
 
I would go for the multi plug near the pump I have come across this on some fords, its crazy a diesel suffering from damp!

ROVER 75 MGZT ENGINE FAULT FINDING

be a couple of rover 75 water ingress issues
one to the air intake .. probably effects the maf sensor
the other being the ecu position ..

with the lr td4 .. it's usually water getting to the fuel rail pressure sensor plug
and causing corrosion on the plug/socket pins .. etc ..

cheers we know its not the ecu we keep the plenums spotless so can rule that one out
