Don't worry, this isn't a question about a door gap of a couple of mm!

You may have seen my post about hitting a post in the General forum. Since then I've bought some second hand wings off the ebay. They arrived yesterday so I tried fitting one of them on today. When I bought the car in June I bought it knowing it had been in a front end knock, and always planned to replace the front passenger corner.

I put the new panel on today and it's well out. it actually overlaps the front bumper. I've added pictures below. My question is does anyone know what steps I can take to remedy this situation, and is it worth getting the chassis looked at by someone who knows what they're doing? If so, anywhere in south-east Kent that would be good?

I'd quite like to measure it up myself but I'm not sure of which points to measure from to get something accurate.

Below you can see it overlapping the bumper.

However it's sitting squarely where it should.

Other side for comparison (even with the bumper slightly bent inwards)

Have you knocked the bumper too? On mine the bolts holes are elongated. I found this after removing mine and on refitting it I had the problem similar to yours.
Just undo align and tighten

Yeah, but it was knocked on the drivers side, so that should be the closer one! I'll whip the bumper off tomorrow and have a fiddle with it. Just a bit concerned that it may have left the chassis unsafe?

Strange that.
Have you measured the new wing and compared it to the other side?
Maybe it's been modified for some reason when it was on the previous vehicle

Measure the length of the wing against the other side. If they are the same, measure the distance from the centre of both wheels on each side, in case the chassis is damaged.

Yeah the vent was very badly hand cut. I'm going to get my tape measure out this weekend and have a play.

It all appears to be fairly correct dimensions-wise with the other side, but I was only roughly measuring by eye whilst holding it up against it, so can't be too sure.

One question I do have is that the passenger door gaps are much larger than the drivers side, so could my bulkhead be in the wrong place on the passenger side? I've not got any experience with this kind of thing so I'm just trying to come up with what it might be!
