ive got a 2002 td4 3 door

i fold my mirrors in at night and consequently where ive folded them back the plastic has cracked

due to the fact ive got to replace them am thinking of getting some powerfold ones, second hand that is

done a search a see ive got to replace the inner switch, get a ecu, relay and the two mirrors

sorry to ask but does anyone know what year did the wiring for the powerfold mirrors become incorporated within the standard loom plse

on reading through the previous posts there seems to be a two wire conversion so that it when the remote is pressed they just fold automatically

looked on the passenger side for this relay and cant find any base, plug etc

just didnt know if my year of hippo had some of it in place within the loom or have to add wires

also seen there is a door mirror wiring loom required

is the 3 and 5 door mirrors exactly the same

seen some powerfold mirrors going cheap with no glass, can u just buy the mirrors on there own

have a look first to see if you have the wiring in your doors for them if not then you will have to make some up .When I had my first Freelander a 2001 td4 auto they had no wiring in and LR said I would have to buy the complete wiring loom at a cost of £800, I went away and just made my own up for the mirrors.

thks guys, removed the side tweeter panels and can just see 5 x wires going into my existing mirrors

done abit more digging and it seems from 2002 the ecu is suppose to plug in by the passengers side a pillar behind the facia, will take out the glovebox etc to see what wiring is there

found a brown relay plug on the passenger side tucked behind a side panel

may i ask ref the internal mirror switch , is it just the case of ordering the multi plugs that go into the back of the switches etc from the local landy dealer plse , or can u just get the pins to add extra wires required

now found out the ecu is replaced with a relay from 2002

been trying to find the relay online though,

also found some more info on here and trying to get my head round it all
