Is the Claerwen Reservoir track worth the effort?

I keep planning it in to our trips to mid Wales and sacking it off due to time. It's long and a dead end so always gets pushed down the priority list.

Also any recommendations for a good spot to wild camp vaguely near Devils Bridge.

yes and a nice little wild camping spot at the end. downside is you have to come back along it the next day. but i,ve used sevral time's.

We're starting at Rhayader at nine so camping by the reservoir is a little too close to the start of the route.

The route for the day ends North of Devils Bridge so hoping for a spot round there. Don't really do campsites.

Its a gravel/slate track with great views (sometimes!)

the man has said it all great views once the morning mist has clear'd
when i get chance i,ll pm you a wild camping spot near where you want mr mayze
