Would the center brake light being out on a 2000 RR 4.6 HSE cause the message center to sound numerous beeps on start up?
The only message that comes up is EAS Fault but that is due to a coil conversion. It also has the EAS override module installed so I was assuming it was not that. Am I wrong? Also, I believe I posted on this a while ago but maybe you could shed some light on it. When I start my RR the ABS and the Brake light and the TC light stay on for a long period. I understand that the ABS is supposed to until you start driving but what about the others?
what if there are no bulbs in there- i just checked mine- all the bulbs look fine, but the light ( center brake ) does not illuminate when pressing the brake pedal? no msg on the dash either?hmmm, is the ENTIRE centre light cluster not working?? The centre rear brake light is made up of 5 (if i remember correctly) little lights. If ONE goes out then the message centre doesnt report it. Looking at the handbook in RAVE it looks like the message centre doesnt report it if all the lights go out anyway. So I would guess no, the message centre wouldnt report it.
When you get the beeps do you get any message on the message centre??
