Not do I but clearly they thought it did when it left the factory. My suspicion is that very few left with a winch but every pub around Brum was selling them cheap.

@RangeRoller dt Ha Ha, I don't suppose it took too long to work out what was making the noise there then.
Pretty certain my noise was being caused by the H'brake, been running it for 2 weeks now without shoes, no untoward noises, (except the doris "when are you going to fix that then"). Will rebuild with new parts when I can be arsed.

I did clean and lube everything that was meant to move, no difference to noise so took the shoes out.
I have replaced the rear prop by the way, not running around as shown.

I immediately thought my viscous gearbox or shaft was going, it’s the nightmares you’ve been giving me. Was such a relief when a passer by said “oi mate, your exhaust is ‘angin’ on the floor”

Buy a busted one cheap now and chuck it on take it in for recall saying it’s never worked as long as you’ve had it - a truth- see if they fix it

Unfortunately it is currently in the air on axle stands and staying that way until I get some inspiration or parts

Can't see myself pulling to much with it though
Oh I don't know. Sight of that winch on your motor and the Scottish lasses legs will be opening like flowers.

Think for you it’s more a case of vehicle originality than ‘want a £1000 accessory il never use on my urban off-roaderI have 1 1/2 brackets and the tray and old bumper just need the warn winch!!

’ For you it’s like something that should be there is missing?
P38’s do mud and cow sh*te fine even on standard tyres (as you know) they don’t need winch except for certain circumstances. Tow hitch is best tool on it
