Hello from Pembrokeshire, I believe my dads first Landrover, a 1949 first registered in Truro, with registration MAF308 is still out there somewhere. If anyone knows where she is, or has a picture, then I would love to see her again. Owen

Try the series 1 owners club - they have better resources for the early series.

Land Rover Series One Club

They are also a really helpful and nice bunch...

If you want it back though you might need deep pockets, we had our S1 1949 Land Rover valued recently :eek::eek:

Thanks for that advice. Buying her back?.......Hmmmmm. That has crossed my mind. It depends whether I might find her beautifully rebuilt and the engine ticking over nicely.....or being directed to a patch of nettles with a telltale window frame peeping out!

Still hoping to find out about MAF308 [my dad's first landrover] so if anyone has any information, a message or a photo would be gratefully appreciated.
