Hi, I am new to the Landy Zone and would be greatful for some help. I have a Defender 90 TD5 2001 with only 29000 miles on the clock. I have recently removed the EGR thingy and the MPG went from 24MPG to 29MPG..... Because of the model year it does not have a cat so no need to remove...... I have had a stage 1 remap don by Mr Dynachip and I am pleased with the extra torque and power. My Dilemma now....do I fit 235/85/R16 tyres or go for the Ashcroft 1.222:1 ratio gear set to improve driveability on duel carriageways/motorways.

I hate to be unhelpful but if motorway drivability is that important to you buy an Astra Deisel estate!!

Thanks for the replys chaps. but would the extra gearing reduce engine noise making the drive quieter...
