I have checked both my Rave(s) and my LR Manuals for the location of the relays.
The majority are in either the driver or passenger footwells, however they dont seem to be anything like the ones identified in the manuals?

Rave shows 5 in the passenger footwell, but different colours. None behind the glove box and 5 + 3 in the drivers footwell ~(mine has A/C).

Can anyone through some light on this?
 
M reg 1994-95 so that's a 1995MY D1 which still had the 200series electrics, still with the single button fob and possibly a black multifunction unit
The 1996MY onwards has a lot more relays fitted on two part swing out mounting bracket on the passenger side, and bolt on detachable bracket on the drivers side.
Your be lucky to find a Rave for the D1 200, the downloaded Rave is for the 96MY, my parts catalog shows relays but that s for the 96MY.
 
I have the May 1991 Discovery workshop manual - but that dont help either - and Haynes is next to useless :(
 
Ok... So why do u require to know what is what with relays. I had a look once, then put the covers back and never been back. :)
 
cos i have no heater fan on any setting.... fuses are ok, and new resistor pack, so likely to be relay. it would be nice to know where the fecker is :eek:.

If it's like my '200 D1 (& You have luck like mine....) it'll be the bloody heater-fan motor that's fubar o_O

Your looking for a relay with 4 wires connected white-light green, green, black and white-light green.
Later models, red, brown, blue-red, white-red and brown so a 5 wire relay.

This link is for the later 300 series 96MY so a big difference in the wiring.

We are still in discussion on the location of a heater relay, although my links were to give you an understanding of the differences the electrics were in some 1995MY of the D1.
95MY was in the showrooms here in September 94 till when the 96MY arrived in June 95.
So if the OPs vehicle has the later air-blending heater box then we know the location of the relay as your link shows, job done... but if not then where is the heater relay.
 
IMO the blower relay should be there near the blower on all, as confirmed by the microcat link too which states that setup is from FA393361 -> WA799999 so M reg should be as in the link

Easy to confirm that the relay is or should be on the heater box as per the links posted, if you have a left and a right rotary heater temp controls then ok. But if the temp control is a slider then it's search time. :)

:doh: I didnt think it was the blower motor relay, as I have white one mounted on the side of the fan - but then again, I will check this one out - typically, my relay tester wont test this one as the pinout is different :eek:Will have to resort to multimeter ;).

It looks as if someone has already bodged it at some time :(

but then again - it does look like this....
