Used my Lynx diagnostics on my old P38 1999 2.5DHSE, worked fine, no problems. I have now bought a P38
2001 2.5 Bordeaux, it is showing air bag fault. Tried to plug in my Lynx and it says change the switch on the diagnostics plug, need to say I can't find one. When pluged in nothing lights up on the Lynx to say it is connected. Any Ideas?.

Wasn't there a resistor fitted to the later diesel models in the OBD socket to prevent battery drain?

I don't know, too technical for me. I seem to think I saw somewhere that after 2000 you could use any OBD11 reader. Is this correct.

Ok Thanks, any ideas as to what is stopping the diagnostic socket from working, as my Lynx works fine.
A resistor has been mentioned, but how can I check it.

yu got 12v on it?

Pin Signal Description
2 J1850 Bus+
4 CGND GND
5 SGND GND

Sprayed electrical contact cleaner in the socket, left for about an hour, went back and the plug works fine now.
Thank you all.
