How do you know which wiring inside the console is the right one?
Is there only one available wiring there?

there is wiring going to the HDC switch, hand brake switch and power socket; if I remember it correctly wiring to socket is brown.

Gonna try an add a boot socket tomorrow. Got a spare from a Citroen xara Picasso..

Mines fitted here.



It's wired from a permanent live, used the plug for the Sat nav that's sat behind the panel. Don't have LR Sat nav......so thought I'd use the wiring.

What LR Sat Nav wiring? I know you have the 3 door, but didn't know there was a permanent live at the back.

crazy that my grand vitara has the socket already fitted, but my freelander needs an after market one fitted

It was a dealer fit option or after market kit.
