Since I bought it, 4th gear has been worn in my 1986 Ninety. By that I mean it crunches when you change into 4th unless you double the clutch "just so...".


The Ninety originally had a 2.5 petrol, so the gearbox is an LT77. I suspect that to remedy the problem the gearbox needs to be taken apart and reconditioned, but just on the off-chance that this is not necessary I thought I would ask on here.

if you have to double de clutch, probably the synchro thats gone rather than the gear itself (though that doesn't mean the gear hasnt gone )

Probably will be take apart n recondition.....or send it someone like ashcrofts
