How often do lpg systems have to be checked and certified once the original certificate expires?

Ive got the original certificate that says it was installed in 2000 and expires next year, directline have said they dont need or ask for the cert, i'll av to find out and what it cost to test em

I bought a LPG classic in april '08 with a certificate from the original installation in 2000. The insurance didn't ask to see it , and then earlier this year my local LPG service centre offered a free safety check , which it passed ! ( lovatto system from Italy ).

I fill up at hilton autogas in Featherstone , between wolverhampton and cannock. The free safety check offer has now expired , but I do reccomend their services . The owner is named billy if you ever want to have a chat with him.
