Hi everyone,
So after spending £400 on getting the old girl through an MOT - a problem with the lpg system presents itself rendering her uneconomical to drive!!!!!!!
Some background first then.....
the car is a '96 4.6. The LPG system was fitted in 2005 by Panache Autogas systems in Manchester.
It's a STAKO tank - the rest of the system is what I believe to be a KME (Polish in origin?) system.
The system is randomly switching back and forth between petrol/gas - then sometimes refusing to switch at all.
I've taken the car to CLS autogas systems in Durham - they believe it to be a pressure sensor / temperature sensor problem - but they don't have the KME software to interrogate the lpg ECU.
I've tried to contact Panache Autogas to confirm just exactly what the system is - but have been unable to get them to answer the phone thus far ...
CLS Autogas are hopefully going to try and get the software - from a quick search I can see that the software is available from the KME website - but I'm unsure as to whether they want to take the job on - from an unfamiliar software point of view.
So can any of you guys suggest any other Autogas installers / suppliers in the Durham / Newcastle / SUnderland area that could take a look at my (what I believe to be) KME system ???
Many thanks for any help you can offer
