hi all can anyone advise me pls i have a 4.6 hse 1996 rr with lpg fitted and im getting around 140 miles to a tank of lpg 82 litres to fill so im guessing a 100l tank which i think is really bad even for a range i had it serviced a couple of mths ago soon as i brought it. as it kept switching to petrol when accelerating hard but the one tank i ran befor the service i got about 180 miles if i remember correctly which is more like what i thought it should be doing. it is a e gas lpg system by the way. and just after some views really or should i just take it back to the guy who serviced it and explain the problem? it drives fine now overall a little lumpy when cold but not to bad if it makes a diff

140 miles round town dont seem to bad, i average around 150-160 and about 200 - 250 on a run,

My 2000 4.6 V8 averages around 19mpg on gas although this week I've managed to average 22! :D

That's around 270 miles from a 84l tank.

is that 84l to fill or max capacity of 84l. or you just comparing to my tank?>that is nearly double mine so surly there must be something wrong somewhere? i think i should be getting more personaly also the car has done 130k but had a new engine 40k ago so not a hard life for the engine also full history can lpg systems vary that much ???

I would say yer figures are BANG ON there Rich..I had a 4.0 Disco 105 Litre tank so 95 to 100 litres full & I got just shy of 310 on a run (If I pushed it abit, Feathered me right foot ect)

fit bigger gas tanks.if you increase the volumetric capacity it will become more efficent.
I have twin 70l tanks and acheive 19-22 on gas.....

That's 84l of gas - I think it' a 95l tank.

I'm getting 160 - 180 miles on a 62 litre fill (80 litre tank) in the discovery II 4.0 using sequential BRC system. Normally get 200 miles on the RR Classic with 75 litre fill (single point system)

I've got a 98 4.6 HSE and I get 230 miles out of the same size fill regardless of how I drive it - I think I should be getting more than that out of it on a run though.

I can't remember the brand of lpg system but it's multipoint sequential.

so the general opinion is i should be getting more than 140-150 miles from 82 litres remember it is all town driving so will be less but befor it was serviced i did get 180 miles from it but did not drive aswell as it does now just eveyone i speak to seems to be getting around the 200-220 mark which is what made me ask will give the guy who serviced it a call tomoz and see what he says
