Looking for help again. I'm refitting the dashboard and realising that you should photograph things before taking them apart I've attached the flap and seal assembly/clip -spring connector. would grateful if anyone could talk me through what to do next re clamps, springs and attaching control cable. I've attached a very crude drawing for reference.

Sorry, never thought should have given more details. It’s a 1989 90 2.5 turbo diesel without air conditioning right hand drive. The diagram in previous post shows what I have in place so far. I know there’s a trunnion that attaches the cable and if I remember a little clip that holds the cable in the passenger shelf but can’t remember do I need the springs and clamps shown in attached parts diagram and how it all goes together.
