Hi all just a quicky.
I have a V8 Disco and it seems to be very low geared compared to my old 300TDi. and previous V8s I have driven. Not very fast but quick off the mark.
I think it may have had the T/box or diffs changed but im not sure.
Whats the easiest way to tell. Are the diffs marked up the the ratios?
Will the transfer box type be stamped on it anywhere.

It has a lift on it and looks to have been offroaded at some point.

i guess it could have had bigger tyres on before so someone will have put a defender transfer box in it, but i wouldnt know how to tell the difference

Its not that slow smartarse.

Get underneath and have a look at the t/box, the ratio will be stamped on it. The Defender ones are 1.4 or 1.6 I think, Discovery is commonly 1.2.

Thanks mate thats just what I was hoping to hear.
Ill check it out over the weekend.
