If I weren't so buys doing perms this week I'd suggest cutting up a beer tin to make shim metal to go between the locking nut and its pocket in the alloy before holding an m16 bolt in a pair of pointy needle nosed vice grips, then putting the stick welders earth clamp on the mole grips, and offering that contraption up to the locking wheel nut and going in with a stick welder at 140-160 amps.... Regardless of my busy hairdressing commitments I wish you the best of luck with this.
In all earnest I'm away offshore tomorrow morning to fix an oil rig but I'll check the forum and see how your getting on

Thanks for your suggestion, gratefully appreciated mate! My old man has made up a key, with the four small rods welded to a crap 15 mm socket, or extension bar (not sure which, I havent seen it yet) so will be giving that a go tomorrow morning, and ill post a piccy for your viewing pleasure (oo-er).

Thanks for the suggestion! Trouble is they are cheap crap, and that hole in the middle is at the top of a slight cone (to centre the lock nut key), and the casting is extremely thin, and snaps very easily (ask me how I know lol). Thanks though, appreciate all the tips and pointers
